Bulgarian Investment Seminar March 2010 in London
With 1st of March , and the white-
‘Marteniza’, start the actual spring traditions &
celebrations in Bulgaria. It is celebrated for health, fertility & abundance. March is the only female month, giving birth to
the Summer. The white colour symbolizes the male part, strength, light, solar zone and via the Christian tradition symbolizes the virginity & purity – the white colour is the colour of Christ. The red colour symbolizes the female part, the health: it is the symbol of the blood, conceiving & new
birth. It is interesting to mention that initially the women’s wedding dresses were made in a red colour.
